Tote Exterior French Seams
Hi Folks
I saw a denim tote with exterior French seams that made it stand up on it's own. Anyone know of a pattern or tutorial for such a bag? Bee |
Yes, if it's the one I'm thinking of, it was made from a jeans leg. let me see if I can find it. Hmm, I guess it's not a tote, just a small organizer:

I do french seams on my grocery bags and they don't stand up. Might work with denim fabric.

Here is a tutorial I did on Fabric Boxes with French Seams. You could do French seams on any tote pattern you have. You just have to understand the concept and think it through (I talk to myself out loud:D) as you are doing it. Depending on how tall your tote is, it may or may not stand up alone. When I was trying this out the first time I studied tutorials on French seams and then applied the concept. Hope this helps.
