Is there anyway to trace an IP address? Someone is using my name and address to bid on items on an online auction site. :twisted:

Contact the auction site, right away. Get your password reset.

Network administrators have ways to trace IP addresses. However, there are ways to hide your real IP address by way of a virtual IP address. And most internet providers use pools of IP addresses, which are assigned at connection time. Each time you disconnect and reconnect, you could end up with a different IP address.

I googled "tracing an ip address" and many came up including a video of how to trace. Good luck! Keep us posted.
