we are now in Summerton, SC. we pretty well keep on I95 so mainly see trees. we had 3 days in Virginia Beach, no WiFi. did the tourist things like the boardwalk and cruise around the docks, saw a lot of navy ships and container ships. got there by travelling on the Chesapeake bridge and tunnel system.

Did you really go from three lanes on the bridge to one lane through the tunnel?
I love travel pictures. Through the windshield - just like being there.

I sure hope you get to go through Beaufort, on the coast between Charleston and Savannah. IT is beautiful.

The old Charleston Marketplace is fun, too.

I go To The Sea To Breathe 05-25-2010 10:05 PM

I went to high school in Va. Beach, Va and then being Navy, we were in Norfolk for many years. We had friends that lived in Cape Charles, VA and I had to drive over there to spend the weekend when my husband was gone on a trip. The Bay Bridge/tunnel had only been open a short time. It was hurricane season and very windy. As I entered the tunnel guess what, water not just sprinkles but a lot of water came down on my windsheild. I was so happy to get thru that tunnel. Later that evening they closed the bridge down due to high winds...But I did it.
