Tree stand

I got a special request for thicker foam tree stand bench cushion from my son. We picked out some real tree all weather fabric and some foam. It took a bit of thinking but I think it turned out nice. It has black elastic and Velcro straps connecting it to the bench. We fastened the old bench pads to the back.

You did a good job on whatever a tree stand is.......very camo

Your post made me smile this morning. I get asked to do all sorts of things, "since I have a sewing machine". You did a great job on the tree stand. The most outlandish thing I have heard of is someone who sewed a cover for their pop up camper. Not when it is raised but to keep the leaves off it when it is parked in their backyard. Yep, she sewed one.

I can understand wanting a good seat in a deer stand. You did a great job on that. My friend's son was in Afghanistan two different times, and in those rough riding Hummers, she made cushions both times for all the seats. The men wrote real nice thank you notes to her.

II have made VW seat covers. draperies, screens for our back porch, etc. I'll try anything once. LOL.

I made a shell bag once, my son wanted one to put on his belt when he was shooting skeet. For what it cost me for canvas, etc. I could have bought him one cheaper. I used to make various things when my children were growing up. Those were the days.

Nice job, Tartan. I am in the process of making my husband a hunting vest. He said he could go buy one and then I would have to alter it anyways. So I am making him one from scratch.

Before I discovered quilting,I made mountain jackets, lady's underwear, and even a back packing tent( mosquito screen, waterproof fabric, and all). I haven't sewn a garment in years, until I just made myself a tailored shirt from batik. And,I recalled all those special words used while doing it!
