If you have a husband like my Keith, this product is well worth the money. My life has been a lot quieter since we got this.
Keith can't watch TV without having the volume maxed out. It makes me nuts. With the TV Listener, we can have our own individual volume level - his blasting and mine normal.

I am not associated with anything concerning this product, just a satisfied customer.

You can see what I am talking about here. http://www.unisar.com/index.php
That's where I bought ours. Since then, I've seen them at CVS Pharmacy.

My husband used a listening device similar to this for a while. We broke down and invested in hearing aids for him.
I was very use to him not hearing me and would often mumble things under my breath. I have to be careful because he CAN hear me now. We found the hearing aids at Costco were the best deal around. Over half the cost of what our insurance wanted us to pay. He really likes them and they really help.

Yes, I have one. I have a hearing problem. I have TV ears, the ones that go below your chin, does the same thing. My DH also uses it to watch a game while I watch a program on the computer (you tube quilting tutes). He sleeps early, so if I still want to watch TV, I put the ears on and the house is quiet. They do serve their purpose.

Dellareya,
You are so blessed that your husband got hearing aids. You don't seem to understand that my husband is not deaf, he doesn't need hearing aids. That's what he tells me. Argggggg. We go round and round about hearing aids. I know that he is just being stubborn. I tell him that he is missing out on so much.
He has a friend that has hearing aids and he tells Keith that there is a lot of outside noise. So Keith says it's a waste of money. What can I do?

For years I worked midnights and had to sleep Sun. afternoons and early evenings when hubby was home. Bought him a set of headphones, my sleep was never bothered again. He still uses them occasionally.

My late husband had hearing aids, but would never use them because of the outside noise.

I wouldnt wear them for the same reason as pointed out. Too much background noise. Now the newer digital hearing aids will block out almost 90% of the background noises. I finaly got some from the v.a. At thier insistance. I realy cant hear.... Tell your loved ones to check out the digitals they can get temporary trials to use them. I have tinitist (ringing of the ear) that causes all background noise to elevate louder.

To be honest, if he's made up his mind, there's nothing you CAN do. And in one way he's right about the outside noise, when I'm in a big place with a lot of space the noise gets so painful that I turn mine down or even off. But I know I need them and do use them to talk to folks..and listen, especially when they don't think I can hear them!!!!!

my hubby has the one on the right, the small head phone jack type that fit in the ears. he won't use it. hurts his ears. so the t.v. blasts me out of the room and i watch t.v. downstairs.
i can't completely shut the door, 3 cats want down here and back up and back down, etc. So i must turn my t.v. higher than i would normally.
i get peace when he turns his off to read a book. sigh!!
