I am trying to send a pic of Henry (my avatar) now 16 months and his momma with the 2 twin boys arriving in August! I am so excited!

Mplsgirl 05-27-2009 09:35 PM

PS Grandson Henry is having a bad hair day....... but discovering dandelions matters most!

omak 05-27-2009 09:51 PM

Congratulations!
Our last grandson had hair that was just WILD! It grew straight out of every pore in his head ... talk about giving a new meaning to being a "wild indian"!
Our little blue-eyed papoose!

TWINS! Oh, how fun, and you get to be close? So wonderful.
Do not envy mom going into summer, pregnant ... and twins ... whoa!
Now, I will be pacing the floor for August. (If I can remember your blessings that long!) LOL
Thank goodness, the way this list works ... all I have to do is say:
CONGRATULATIONS!
and, I am on the announcement list! Now, isn't that handy??? LOL

henryparrish76 05-27-2009 10:06 PM

wow cool, twins!

amma 05-27-2009 11:37 PM

How exciting for all of you!!! My twin grandsons were born Aug 8th...they are going to be 6. Twins are fun because you have twice as many babies to hold...to spoil...and when you have both of them in your arms at one time.... :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

My favorite thing was when they tried to fool me by pretending to be each other, they were only 3 1/2      I made them t-shirts that say "I am NOT Kobie" and "I am NOT Dakota"

Oh Pam - what a cutie! My 7 year old has just asked for hair gel to spike his hair up - apparently it's 'à la mode' here in France!

beachlady 05-28-2009 05:40 AM

She is going to be busy! My twin g-sons will be 9 in November.

KittyGram 05-28-2009 05:55 AM

Awww! Cute picture! I love the hair!!!!! My grandson is 9 months old with almost no hair, and what little he has is blond, so it's hard to see!!! His 3 year old sister was the same way, but now her hair is past her shoulders! His 5 year old sister was born with a head full of medium brown hair!!!!

I love your picture! Momma looks good, too, but I don't envy her summer pregnancy. (My one and only was born in May!!!!)

Rhonda 05-28-2009 06:01 AM

Henry is so cute! And I remember how excited we were when my dIL was expecting twins! We have twin boys Daymon and Devon who are now 5. They are fraternal twins and very differant from each other!

My DIL is involved in Mothers of Multiples- it is a national group. Henry's mom might think about getting into something that helps you cope with all the ins and outs of kids.

Twins run in our family. My aunt had twins(it goes back farther in the family also) and one of her twins (now 39) had twins just 5 months before our twins were born. The funny thing is Jarren's twins resemble our twins quite a bit.

Twins are fun! They keep me hopping when they are here! I remember when they were newborns and I kept them I had some flat storage bins (the kind that go under the bed) and I put blankets in them and set them on my dining table and that is where they slept til they were too big for them! Instant cribs! Now the storage bins are under my bed!

Can't wait to see pictures!!! :D :D :D

Thanks everyone for the replies. We're so excited! Rhonda, great story about the storage boxes! Twins have never been in our families but I guess they are now! I will let Gabby know about the mothers of multiples, but being the efficient person she is, she may already know. Bought books, etc. And I guess efficient is what she's going to have to be! She is VP of Human Resources for a company in Seattle and she is able to take a year leave of absence, thankfully.

Amma - thank you for volunteering! You all are so sweet! Where is 2 hours south? My son lives in Tacoma and it takes an hour to get to Redmond where they live.

They are in Seattle, I am in Illinois. Going up for the birth for 9 days, and her in laws live in Vancouver and are going to spend a couple of months with them, thank God! Wish I was closer.

omak 05-28-2009 10:36 PM

I am seeing a quilting bee in the plans!
I am in central washington, maybe four and a half hours from Tacoma ... but, it is freeway (70 miles an hour!) ...
Of course <g> I was thinking your daughter would LOVE some fresh air and come over here! LOL
But, a "gathering" could be fun, eh?

Hey! I have family sitting up in Vancouver right now (job transfers, don't you know ...)

omak 05-28-2009 10:38 PM

If you come from Illinois by train, you will be passing right within four miles of my house! .... get ready for some really fine looking country!

I live just outside of Olympia, but lived most of my life in Vancouver. Isn't it a small world???   I can't imagine being that far from my grands, they are all in Vancouver. I am glad to hear that you get to be there for the birth and for some special "grama" time afterwards :D :D :D
