My 13 yr old DGD twirls baton. She saw some fabric in my sewing room and asked if I could make her a baton bag out of it. I've searched the web and can't find a pattern for one. Does anyone here know how to make a baton bag or can direction to somewhere to get the pattern?

Many years ago my daughter had on that was long and thin with a zipper. I don't know why you couldn't make something that's lined for durability and with a hook and loop closure like an umbrella has around the top. Just make two long thin tubes with one end closed on each. Put one inside the other so that right sides match and sew around the top edge leaving a small turning hole. Sew, press and turn. Push the lining down inside and press the top. Add some kind of durable, reinforced handle strap attached at both ends and do the closure. She'll feel really special and will think of you at her competitions and other events.
