I don't think so, we've pretty much all heard the "words" doesn't mean we like them tossed at us constantly. JMO

I'm a Two and a Half Men fan! I thought John Stamos would have been a great replacement and was a little disappointed in their choice of Ashton, but they didn't listen to me. The show last night was just okay for me. They have wonderful writers, so I'm hoping they'll be able to create a great character for Ashton without being too silly.

Just my 2 cents.

Totally agree with both. They are both fun shows to watch. And, as a real Iowan, I can't miss Ashton.

lynnie 09-20-2011 09:36 AM

i think it was the most watched show last night, pretty good, i didn't think ashton was was going to be goood, but surprise, surprise.
BIG BANG can't wait!!!!

SUZAG 09-20-2011 09:47 AM

I didn't think I would like it but it was pretty good!

No, I think now instead of being suggestive, they just come out and say it...I miss the old days....

MrsM 09-20-2011 09:50 AM

I had stopped watching it for some reason, I think the time conflicted with another show. But had to catch it last night. Curious to see where it will go from here.

Quilt-Till-U-Wilt 09-20-2011 09:57 AM

I'm more shock proof then I used to be. I have 2 teen aged grandchildren.

I agree with you. I like the characters and DH always watches but the humor isn't really to my taste.

Yes it was, it was on Monday, Sept. 19, at 9:00 pm.

Personally, I was a little dissappointed, but in their defense they did have to set it up for the new season i.e., write CS out and introduce Ashton's character. Hopefully it will be better going forward....

I like Austin In other things but i'm afraid this show will not do
him justice . I liked the other 2 in a half Men but feel that Charlie was just being himself. Not acting ., Only doing as he did
all his life.
I watched the CS Roast also. What a waste. Too much profanitie. Not I'm not a prood. But please not on TV We
don't use that language in our house for any reason. It isn't
neccessary.
I won't be wasting my time on the new show. I'll go back to
watching the Pickers. Good intertainment.!!

Looks like the 2.5 men will make it with out CS. Very funny. Love Big Bang also. The 2 Broke Girls looks funny too. Sure need new shows and nice programs.

alapetitechaise 09-20-2011 02:35 PM

I watched it and enjoyed it. DH is a fan of the show, I do not care for the role of Charlie Harper but I think the new Ashton K role might be an improvement.

luce321 09-20-2011 02:46 PM

I quit watching it years ago, too trashy for me.

tolepainter54 09-20-2011 03:00 PM

It wasn't 9:00 when I posted - I did watch it when it came on.

Every Tuesday we have dinner at the in-laws. My FIL always made us watch it when Charlie Sheen was on it. I hated that show soooooooooooo bad. I am bummed that it's back on the air and I will have to watch that garbage again. I'm not that old, but I remember when tv sitcoms were just funny, not disgusting and crude.
Well, now that's out of my system....

Ditto!! Shows like Bob Newhart, That Girl, Rhoda, Lucy... I could go on and on.

poygan23 09-20-2011 04:59 PM

Couldn't agree more! We have sure turned into a generation that enjoys innuendos and dirty jokes. Whatever mad Red Skeleton, Bob Hope, Jack Benny, Phil Silvers, etc, funny???

dreamboat 09-20-2011 05:03 PM

Boring.

deedum 09-20-2011 05:51 PM

We watched, it is not the worst on, but not the best either. Still just short of vulgar. Tv isn't worth much to me, I prefer to surf the net, especially on this board.

auniqueview 09-20-2011 06:44 PM

I think when AK was in That 70's show, they typecast him. He really is as dumb as a rock, as far as I am concerned. Only smart thing he ever did was marry Demi, tho not so sure that is a marriage as much as an adoption. Not going to watch it.

AK is pretty smart at marketing himself, but I have never understood why he is so popular.

Demi Bruce and Demi, without them, he would be NOWHERE.

Dee 09-20-2011 09:01 PM

Not bad. Hope it gets better with time.

Landers 09-21-2011 01:47 PM

I set it to record and I willl watch the first show with Ashton and see how how it goes.

JACRN 09-23-2011 09:19 AM

Don't watch it. I feel it's to vulgar.

DebsShelties 09-23-2011 09:29 AM

I loved the first part of the season premire of Two and a Half Men, part 2 will be here in a few days

Isn't Big Bang the best show?? I love those four!!

ccrow99 09-23-2011 09:52 AM

I am so with you....just crude and not funny. I don't understand why two guys constantly "measuring" is so entertaining. Shouldn't that have ended in high school? Must be me...

Pam B 09-23-2011 01:49 PM

I watched Two and a Half Men Monday evening and will probably watch it again. I felt the series (especially last year) had gotten rather old and too crude. I absolutely LOVE Big Bang but I really wish it were on later at night. I feel it is inappropriate for young people to be watching. Both are shows I would NOT have allowed my children to watch as they were growing up. That said...DH and I are the only people in our house now and we can/do watch the shows.

Also...I agree with whomever posted that the show following 2 1/2 Men (can't remember the name of it) got turned off right away.
