Unusual February 2017

It has equal number (4) of each of the days of the week. Will not happen again for 823 years!

February is always a special month for us, anniversary month :) I'll bet we will still be celebrating in 823 years. Built to last!

February has 28 days, except for leap year. Every week has 7 days. 28 divided by 7 means that there are exactly 4 weeks in February; therefore, unless it is a leap year, there will always be an equal number of each of the days of the week in February.

My spouse always collected JD calendar's and I get them since he passed. The calendars for February 2015, 2014, 2013, 2011 all contained exactly four Sundays, four Mondays, four Tuesdays etc. Surely this happens every February that has 28 days.
Our 1950 calendar is the exact same as the current 2017 February, started on Wednesday and ended on a Tuesday.

February always has four of each unless it is a leap year, which is in each year that is divisible by four; except for those years which are divisible by 400. Therefore, the year 2000 was not a leap year. Do you remember that?

If you check a perpetual calendar, you will see that this happens again in Feb. 2031.

Ok, I stand corrected. This info came to me as an email, so I believed what it said. Red face !

2000 was a leap year. Since 1752, in this country, years exactly divisible by 100 are only leap years when they are also exactly divisible by 400. So 1800 and 1900 were not leap years, neither will 2100 or 2200 be leap years. But 2000 was.
