My name is Lois and I have no problem with that. Lois is an old Bible name (Timothy's grandmother's name was Lois). My sister, however, was blessed with the name Nellie. She hates it with a passion. However, I always remind her that whatever happens to her in her life she does have something to be thankful for. My dad wanted to name her Minnie Pearl because that was about the time she was becoming poplular. So, Nellie was the name that won out. It turns out that Nellie was a very popular name at one time. Some parents just don't think, do they? I've known people by the name of Minnie and some by the name of Pearl and they were/are lovely people. That is just not my preference in names.

My daughter is the 4th generation to have Marie in her name. My Mom's Aunt Marie, my Mom is Louise Marie, I am Barbara Marie and then Hope Marie. I asked her to use it if she ever has a girl- she said no. :(

A neighbor is January- but she's born in Oct., she was conceived in January.

My dd is April- shortened to "A". She was born in April, but the dr. said March was her due date. She is late for everything, so it figures she'd miss her due date.

The only thing unusual about mye name is that I was named after a saint! (Veronica)
A couple of years ago my daughter was looking up something on the computer, and I saw that she's the patron saint of laundry workers. Figures.
But my poor daighter, who was NOT named after a saint, has the same name as the patron saint of disappointibng children!
The way I look at it, I was doomed from the start
