I finally got around to updating my avatar. Even though I loved my grandson's picture in the pool, it is obviously too cold for that! Here he is in his Halloween costume. We bought it at Wal-Mart about a month before Halloween and by a couple of days before, we realized he had outgrown it! Grandma's sewing machine to the rescue! I cut it in half below the waist, inserted a piece of fabric donated by a friend that almost matched exactly, pieced it in and then digitized a badge reading Courage and embroidered on the front. We were amazed that he actually seemed to like being in the costume (for a 20 month old that's pretty good!) I love this picture because he was turning toward me and growling when I snapped the picture.

Can you tell I am just a wee bit proud?

Aren't grandkids just the best. Cute little fellow and love his costume.

That is a good way to make the costume last longer. It is nice when they like to wear them and get your moneys worth out of them. I can see why you are a wee bit proud, he is a cutie!
