US Postage rate change January 27

letters are going up to 55 cents, from 50. I think the main change that will affect us here on QB, is First Class Packages will now have different rates for different zones.
You can go here
https://pe.usps.com/PriceChange/Index

and download it to your computer.

Thanks for the reminder... I need stamps

Still very reasonable, although any increase is hard to adjust to, our Cdn rate within Canada for a letter has been $1.00 for quite some time, and over $2.00 International.

I do some selling of unused fabric, patterns, and books on-line...nice to know how much to accurately charge the customer for postage. Thank you for the link!

I got an email yesterday from Ebay about the new pricing. Ugh, people don't want to pay for shipping as it is and I don't blame them.

I already use very little of the post office sure now I will use less I pay my bills on line now I will just have the statements emailed hope it stops the junk mail but they probably do not get an increase

They along with the weather people seem to be the only people lousy at their jobs but never lose them. It took a MONTH for a flat envelope with my post card swap to reach my swapee. I felt SO bad she got a 2nd one in like 2 days. I could have driven the first one to her faster and been home with time to spare. Yet Amazon can get things to us in 1 to 2 days and via USPS. What the heck. And it seems the weather people never get it 'right'.

I send all my bill payments via the USPS. I like it better than paying online, I tried it a few years and hated it.

Truer words were never spoken. It is so very frustrating even so I still watch the weather report and send mail via USPS.

That chart shows the padded flat rate envelope going up to $7.55, not $8.00 like I had heard. Thank goodness for small favors....
