vertigo and nausea help
 

hello!! I had to quit machine sewing when I got permanent vertigo because of the motion sickness triggered by the fabric moving under the needle. Well now I can sew again!!!!!!!
Those seabands really work!! although mine had to be really tight before they worked, so I can't wear them 24/7. but O the the joy!!!!! Thought I would pass this on!!! I am so out of practice but I feel like someone took 100 pounds off of me!!! Will try to post a picture of my first effort soon. There is a lot not right with it but I am still happy with it!!!!!!

I had the same thing...there are stones in your inner ear, just like kidney stones. I had to do physical therapy and was treatment to move those stones in my ear. I thought....this is crazy, had never heard of it. But....dang it...it worked and I have never had the problem again. In my area there is only one trained guy who knows how to do this. Its a fairly new discovery I think. you can read about it online too.

I've had vertigo and it is really awful. I was seen by an ear nose and throat specialist who did testing and treatment that was effective, unpleasant, but effective. I followed that up at home with some maneuvers called Epley maneuvers. You can google it and find examples. It helped keep the vertigo from returning. I hope you continue to be able to sew. It's a bummer when you can't. Good luck!

how wonderful that they work for you. i tried them for actual sea-sickness when sailing and they didn't work. maybe i didn't have it tight enough.

I had to do the same thing. I also saw a chiropractor who put my neck & back back into alignment; at one point he also did some acupuncture techniques that did the trick.

sounds like fluid on the inter ear....I had to take meds when even laying down caused it...good luck

I have vertigo from MS and the only thing that works for me is Mechlezine (Dramamine). I have to have a supply with me at all times for those times the vertigo breaks through. But it works - that's all that matters - and it's not habit forming, according to my Neurologist.
