ATTENTION:

A VIRUS is going round called Housework. If you feel the need to start Housework: Stop immediately. This virus wipes out your social life. If you should come in contact with Housework, go straight to the nearest store and buy the only known antidote which is called CHOCOLATE. Please forward this warning immediately to at least six friends. If you realize you do not have six friends, you are already infected.

nativetexan 06-03-2011 01:16 PM

From the look of my dinng room table, I have never had this virus and and if I ever catch it, it will be a light case. LOL

Thanks for the tip, but I managed to save myself years ago. I just read a post about how some people can't quilt unless they've done the housework first - glad to see there are others just like me who have cured themselves of this problem!!

CoventryUK 06-03-2011 11:53 PM

No...hasn't crossed the pond to UK yet!! Plenty of choc in cupboard just in case!!! Lol!!

yellowsnow55 06-04-2011 03:12 AM

I caught it this morning and did exactly what you suggested. Stopped immediately, walked to the corner store, stocked up on chocolate, had coffee with a neighbor on the way home. We shared some of the chocolate and by the time I came home, I was cured! Suffice to say 'the house looks like a fabric bomb hit it'. This cure Really Works.

Hey ladies (and gentlemen), I've always said, if God wanted me to cook and clean, he would've given me aluminum hands! that's my story and I'm sticking to it (I don't clean anymore--at least not heavy stuff. DH pays for a cleaning lady for us)

fatcat 06-04-2011 04:00 AM

I think I had a touch of the virus yesterday but suddenly it went away, when the ceiling fan came loose and was hanging by the electric wires so I think that helped to get rid of it but the chocolate does more for you. LOL

sandpat 06-04-2011 05:18 AM

LOL....quilting cured me of it! If you don't believe me....just ask DH!

Stitchit123 06-04-2011 05:45 AM

I'm in between 2 houses that both need a good shaking so yesterday I felt a bit over whelmed and my endless supply of energy was starting to lag So I loaded up the car with -1brother-2dogs -4 fishing poles -2 dz worms -12pk of beer for brother -1qt ice tea for me and sat on the bank til dark I caught me 3big cat-fish and as soon as my brother gets his butt in gear we're going back today and its a pretty sure bet we'll be doing the same thing tomorrow -by Monday I should be ready to deal with the utility co. and a bit of un-packing at the other house And I have a nice supply of chocolate at both places :D I'll be ready for anything

grammiepamie 06-04-2011 05:57 AM

I have been vacinated!!!!!!!!!!!!LOL

mimee4 06-04-2011 08:05 AM

Used to have this virus but quilting cured me!

munchkinmama 06-04-2011 09:22 AM

No virus for me - I keep doing the antidote!

clynns 06-04-2011 09:26 AM

Any reason for Chocolate is a good reason. I'll have to remember that one.

Quilter2B 06-04-2011 11:25 AM

No wonder I was feeling yucky yesterday! Phew, glad I'm feeling much better today - he he he

mamabear229 06-04-2011 03:30 PM

It entered the brain but was soon pushed backed out. Boy, was it a close call.

Jingle 06-04-2011 03:44 PM

I use to have it, got over it some, now I need a slight case of it to get rid of the dust.

BobbiG 06-04-2011 04:24 PM

Mothers infected some of us. We hate housework, but can't stand dirt and mess.

rona thickpenny 06-04-2011 11:15 PM

What can I do i iam allergic to choclate ?I know -----quilt.

jpthequilter 06-04-2011 11:22 PM

Gee Whiz! That is why I got the notion to vacuum the floors today, even though there were not any threads there!

Because I am elderly and live alone, I clean once in a while, and then try to leave the things alone and undisturbed for as long as possible.

I live in the quilting room, so it is not part of that plan!
