Go for it. The extra money will be great, plus you will make new friends.

Go for it! There are lots of "specialty" fields. Models for hands, feet, and legs are very popular. Why not your voice. Even celebrities are in on it. Back in the 70's I worked at an audio/visual center. One of the employees did the voice for the answering machine we turned on when we were closed. People would call, hear the message, then come in just to meet her. A voice can be a very powerful marketing tool. Go for the big bucks.

I have done it in the past. You are placed in a sound booth with headphones and a microphone. You are given text to read. In the booth that I used there was a gauge that I watched to make sure that my voice stayed within certain specifications set by the director. I really enjoyed it.

Hey, get whatever you can in writing....and you might ask about people they might let you talk with that have done this sort of thing before....if they are professional they should be able to give you references....
But nothing ventured nothing gained.
My voice is so distinctive that when I was younger and occasionally had to page the President of the company I worked for as his Admin....well they eventually asked me not to page...because my voice would make all the men in the plant stop working. Funny, cause my voice does not sound sexy or different to me....
Give it a try and when you are happily making lots of money, let us hear from you again!
