A Walk through Alowyn Gardens
8 Attachment(s)
DH and I went through some local gardens this weekend and I would like to share them with you.
We were a week or so too late to see the wisteria walk in full flower so I have included a photo of the walk as we saw it followed by a published one of it taken in flower. The roses were very fragrant varieties and the perfume was wonderful. I wish my garden looked like those.
Are they part of the "open garden scheme"? |
Thanks for taking the time to share with us. It's the only way many of us will see your area.
Happy to share Lisa - it was just so relaxing strolling around and there was a lake also with a stragically placed viewing seat that was a lovely spot to while away some time.
Karen I don't think they are part of the "open garden scheme" as there was no mention of it. They are closed for winter (June, July, August) and now open weekends and public holidays. Are you in Australia? |
Beautiful, Deecee!!! Now I have seen one of your gardens and you have seen "My" Longwood Gardens in Delaware. Going to visit gardens in spring makes everything seem so calm and relaxed, which we need from time to time. Thanks!
That looks like such a peaceful place. Thank you for sharing.
Beautiful garden
Beautiful and I scratched frost off my car window this morning.:(
What lovely photos. It's great to see them on a day when we anticipate snow (four letter word.) And Grann is right, our Longwood Gardens are beautiful.
What an enchanted garden! Thanks for posting the photos.
Beautiful!!! Bet you really enjoyed that.
oh goodness, that is lovely. I miss seeing so much green. Colorado is such a dry State, no humidity, etc.
It's just beautiful! I can almost smell those roses. Thanks
Nativetexan I miss the "green" even when I just visit my relatives in the suburbs. I always get a feeling of relaxation and peace come over me as I reach my semi-rural home area with lots of bushland and green pastures.
Deecee, those gardens are lovely...I just love a spring garden. Those are the same roses that I have in my yard. They almost look wild.
All I have now are brown leaves and dying plants...can't wait till spring. |
Susie it won't be long before we hit summer and then I will probably have some of those brown leaves for a different reason.
Four letter word is right, I have been telling people that for years.
Deecee, thank you for sharing these lovely pictures. I would love to have some wisteria.
