washing and drying Nu Foam

A question for anyone who has used Nu Foam as a filler for a sewn item:

I have used this product to fill my dogs crate cushions and I love it as it doesn't seem to retain "doggy odor" or get musty smelling, I have a washable quilted cover on the beds. The big dogs crate pad is 4" thick and 24" x 36".

Well last week he was sick and urinated on his bed. I washed the cover with a little vinegar and machine dried it and thats fine. Then I rinsed and then washed the Nu Foam in my tub with vinegar. I squeezed it as much as I could and then set it out on old towels to dry. A whole week later and the inside still is really wet! Its the center of the cushion. I split the edge with my hand and stuck my hand in and its full of water.

Any ideas about how to get the dang thing dry? Do you think I could tumble it on low heat for a while?

I have not had any experience with this product, but googled it and found a site that says it is washable. Here's the site: http://www.batt-mart.com/site/490194/page/130570

It says it's made of compressed layers of polyester, so maybe a test run in the dryer on the lowest setting for 20 minutes, see what happens?

well, I tried and after a few minutes the edges got fused against the dryer drum. :/

Dang thing is still wet in the middle!

try hanging it? so the water in the middle can run out--
or stand it in front of a fan???

Its been standing on end for a week...somehow the outsides have compressed enough that the insides are not releasing the water. I think I am going to have to pull it apart into two layers (it pulls apart like poly batting) and try to get those dry. I am then going to make/buy a waterproof wrapping for it to wear under the dog bed cover!
