Our neighbors dog, a white German shepherd, had a litter of puppies in late January. Sugar had 7 puppies and her owner thinks the daddy was a black lab. (Sugar was supposed to have been spayed, at least that is what our neighbor was told when he took her.) There were 3 black/brown puppies and 4 golden blond puppies.
We had done really good about resisting taking a puppy and had a million reasons not to take one. But we really miss having a dog. Our last dog, Sassy, passed away 3 years ago. So, with only 2 puppies left, the male puppy that DH has wanted since he first saw them, one came to live with us tonight. Youngest DD could not believe it when her Daddy told her she could have the puppy. She brought it straight into the house, bathed it and wrapped it in a warm quilt I made and gave her to use. Of course, both grandbabies went nuts over the puppy. Thankfully, it is not a tiny puppy. Here is Beau, short for Beauregard. Brianna with Beau wrapped in what is now his quilt.
