Jim's Gem 10-20-2011 01:59 PM

Ramona Byrd 10-20-2011 02:00 PM

Nothing here...as soon as I read that I went and looked at my hanging lamp in the front room. Not a quiver, thank God!!

ptquilts 10-20-2011 02:07 PM

sewmuch 10-20-2011 02:18 PM

I'm in Concord, 35 miles from S.F.

Debbie Ness 10-20-2011 02:23 PM

working here in Walnut Creek. just a little rockin and rollin.

MissSandra 10-20-2011 02:52 PM

oh man your so lucky, I miss rocking and rolling! I'm from sonoma county, and I can't wait for the day I get to go home.

Pat P 10-20-2011 02:56 PM

My husband said the last small one we felt here in Indiana caused a crack to open between the window and the brick. It took a whole container of silicone to caulk it up to prevent water from getting in this winter and freezing, doing more damage. Hate to think what a big quake would do.

I'm about 5 miles from the fault in Fremont and I didn't feel a thing.

Happiness is... 10-20-2011 03:13 PM

My DD works in Alameda, and e-mailed right after it happened. She said it was a bit of a shock, and has the office all a-twitter. No damages, thankfully.

Fraew 10-20-2011 03:13 PM

Working in Richmond, CA (or reading on the Quilting Board)...felt the rocking.

Alex J 10-20-2011 03:16 PM

Hope you all are doing OK

cjomomma 10-20-2011 06:20 PM

I don't miss that about Ca. at all.

Carron 10-20-2011 06:53 PM

Nothing in my town either.

Fraew 10-20-2011 07:19 PM

We just had another one in Richmond, CA!

Debbie Ness 10-20-2011 07:44 PM

just felt another in Hayward, about 8:30 or so. maybe an aftershock. shake, rattle and roll baby! as long as they stay small!!!

leiladylei54 10-20-2011 08:27 PM

Yes, I think we had 12-14 of them yesterday or was it the day before. Located on the Big Island, Hawaii. Not felt in Honolulu...thank goodness!!! That biggie we had 5 years ago knocked out power for more than 12 hours!!! Felt like a train coming through the property and also a rolling motion kind of feeling. Yikes!!! Scared me something bad!!!

LindaJ 10-21-2011 04:07 AM

Lot of that going on lately. One in Virginia this year. We felt it in Pa!

Check out this list of California earthquakes...

Miss Priss 10-21-2011 04:52 AM

Texas has them also. One yesterday down by Houston.

http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquak...quakes_all.php

This is a list of all the earthquakes in the US in the last week...surprised??

Murphy1 10-21-2011 06:09 AM

Lived in the Bay Area and felt many of those quakes. The most memorable was the 89. We lost 3 foot of water out of our pool, but that was it. No electricity that night so missed the news on what has happening everywhere else. Now we live in the foothills and are not near a fault. I hope this little jiggle is not the prelude to other shifting.

Tinabug 10-21-2011 12:48 PM

Just heard about it, nothing in Oceanside, CA

Bluequilter 10-21-2011 05:23 PM

I live in Wisconsin, but my daughter & her husband live in Dublin, CA ... they felt the jolt as well.

CAS49OR 10-22-2011 09:05 AM

I read about it in the paper. I'm happy it wasn't worse. SIL was in CA for the last big one.

sylviasmom 10-22-2011 03:36 PM

There's earthquakes everyday in Ca, some you feel and others not. The local newspaper in Salinas, Ca always has a chart on the bottom of the front page showing the Reichter scale.

alices 10-22-2011 04:22 PM

One of these days you'll wake up to find yourself in the water... or find you have waterfront property.
