Wearever Chicken Bucket - Help!
Has anyone used one of these? I found one at a thrift shop - looks great and has a good gasket. I'm anxious to try it but need a boost of confidence! Please share your experience. BTW, I've read some info online but would rather hear from fellow quilters 'cause I trust this awesome board. Thanks all!

I've never heard of it either so I googled it and came across this http://davescupboard.blogspot.com/20...en-bucket.html
i don't have any input about it but I gotta tell you I am a sucker for juicy fried chicken ! (If we are quiet enough, we should be able to hear my arteries clogging :p) |
I've never seen one much less used one, but couldn't you do the same thing with the modern pressure cookers???
|
I used to have one makes the best broasted chicken ever sure wish I could find one again
|
Do they still make those? I had one years ago when fried foods were allowed. It was awesome, loved the chicken, but cleanup wasn't so much fun. I remember it was touted to make it as good as the colonel's. Don't remember if that was true, but the chicken was delicious. Just remember not liking cleaning the pan. Hope this helps.

I make fried chicken all the time in a cast iron skillet. I fry in good quality coconut oil. I have seen this basket before but never used one. KFC fries their chicken under pressure so it must make good fried chicken. I would get the safety valve checked. The Home Extension office will do it for free. They check my pressure canner for me.

Sassey, you can find these "chicken buckets" on ebay and, if you are really lucky, at a thrift store for way less. I paid $3.00 for mine!
