would any members be able to tell us what their weather is up to date? Especially on the east coast? More accurate than the media I think. Thank you for doing it if you can. Right now in the Boston area it is cloudy and dreary with mild breeze every so often. Forecast says" showers and then thunderstorms today and tonight and into tomorrow.
Temp right now is 82degrees.

I live in NE Pa. and we have had rain showers off and on all day however the sun is shining at present.Supposed to be a beautiful day tomorrow, however Sun. will depend on where the storm hits. Hopefully we are inland enough it will not effect us.

this is what freecycle posted to the board I am in the capital region The storm that is approaching the NEW YORK area Called "IRENE" is due to hit the Albany-TRI CITY AREA SARATOGA on or about FRIDAY-SATURDAY

May in Jersey 08-25-2011 12:54 PM

Rained a bit this early afternoon here in Jersey. I live near The Shore so have been checking local weather report, so far they have been saying that Irene will hit our area sometime on Sunday. I'm a little bit inland and have never had any flooding but you can't be too careful about the high winds so we're getting deck furniture put away, pots of plants moved to side of the house, etc..

Ms. Sandra Is that near Utica?

Right now in Virginia Beach, it's cloudy/sunny. They are saying Irene will hit early Sat morning with up to 120mph winds. Norfolk/Va Bch area is right in the midst of it. After it leaves us, it's supposed to weaken a bit, but who knows. It has moved to the east a bit, that's why Norf/Va Beach is right in the midst.

Very windy and cloudy. The people of RI know that something is coming because the weather is the calm before the storm.
