wedding gift ideas
The couple have been together forever and are now making it official. Both are in their late 50s. They are
both retired and own their home. They do not need household items and there is no gift registry. Seems like every guest I've talked to is giving gift certificates(trips/golf/skiing/cooking/eating out...the whole gamut) or doing the name/wedding date items or making donations to couple's favorite charities. I do not want to do a signature quilt as there is a BIG guest list. I really don't want to do anything quilty. Any ideas for a unique gift? Thanks. |
How about a set of seasonal table squares or table runners.

In this situation I would expect the couple to request no gifts. Since they haven't set up a registry, perhaps that is their intention.

Just bring a bottle of good wine for the host and hostess and enjoy the day.

I made my cousin placemats, napkins, potholders, washcloths and dish towels for the holidays

My husband and I got married in our 40's and we too needed nothing. We had guests that wanted to know what we wanted so we said a gift card for Sears so we could get a new BBQ grill. This worked great!

I always get a gift card that is fairly generic like a VISA. Can use it most anywhere for anything. We got some friends one for $50. They use it to get some groceries
|
How about a donation to a charity that is significant for them.

Why don't you ask them what they want.

Thanks for your ideas.
I have decided to go the gift certificate route. I appreciate your help. |
