Congratulations to you and your daughter! Here's my 2 cetns: try to somehow include the bride's mother beyond the "Wear beige and shut up," idea. The day can be a happy melding of two families if done thoughtfully.

Congratulations to the couple and the MOB. my DD just got married last week in a very simple ceremony. She bought her table linens and place settings here. Her plates were biodegradable plant products and the flatware was wood. http://www.smartyhadaparty.com My sister did all her flowers, just mixed bouquets with tons of babies breath in colored mason jars and old bottles. Thank you so much for the link. Your niece was a beautiful bridge. I love (!!!!) the birds. Were they on top of the cake? The photographer did an amazing job.

You're welcome, Patti25314. Yes, the white birds were the cake topper, and handcrafted by the bride. There was a whole lot of sewing going on for her wedding.

I hope they can focus on the marriage more than the wedding - it is just a blip - the marriage should be forever - keep the wedding simple - years ago they were very simple and people stayed married... my 2 cents
