Went to a quilt retreat and came home with a new addition to the family
I went to a 4-day quilt retreat in Denver, PA this past weekend and on the way to the retreat we stopped at several quilt shops to "enhance our fabric selection"! At the last quilt shop we stopped, a kitten darted in and out of cars in the parking lot. Several concerned quilters finally were able to catch the shivering dirty little thing who was skin and bones. It purred when held and was very friendly. The owner of the shop told us that he had seen two kittens around but no queen. What to do with this kitten? Our group of 13 ladies were going to the quilt retreat. Finally, one quilter from PA (a total stranger to me) spoke up and said that she would foster the little one until Sunday if I would be willing to take it home. And that is just what we did :o Debbie took the little one in, cleaned it up, kept it separate from her own cats, fed it and loved it until our quilt retreat was over and I was able to pick it up and take it home. I took kitten to my vet this morning and am happy to report that it is a healthy little girl, Main Coon mix and only 6 weeks old. After a bath it is the fluffiest and cutest thing ever! Thanks to that wonderful stranger who jumped right in to help...got to love quilters!

That is minky, gotta love these spell checker thingys.
Awwwwwwwwwwh how cute is she. Please give her a big hug from me. You are a very kind person.
She is a very pretty kitten and I think both of you had a guardian angel that day. How often does a stranger step in to help bring an animal and human together? May you have many, many happy and healthy years together.
Thank you for adopting Tigger, it does my heart good to see someone else have the same compassion for animals that I do. I just adopted a new little guy too. My neighbor was out on his morning walk and found a tiny baby in a black garbage bag. It appeared that someone just threw him in the bag out a car window. Of course the neighbor brought it to the local zoo keeper -me. I named the kitten after my dear neighbor Dave. Dave is the sweetest baby, loves to be held and purrs at the smallest touch. DH balked at first, we didn't need a fourth cat, but I've caught him cuddling Dave more than once!
What a Merry Christmas to that little furbaby to be taken in by a caring family....
How could anyone not take her home. She is precious. I can't understand why people just have to throw away perfectly good pets, to me it's like throwing away our children. (That happens too much to!)
She's adorable !

This made me laugh out loud. I'm sure you meant, Dave, the kitten, is the sweetest............... Otherwise, the meaning is entirely different! I'd love a house kitty, but we go away too often to leave the kitty behind. |
She is a very pretty little girl-Thanks for giving her a home.
