what about witch hazel

During this last week or so, someone posted what they use witch hazel for. I bought some and now can't remember what she used it for. Can someone help me. Thanks in advance for any help.

I am assuming you mean in connection with quilting. When you find out, let everyone know because I have no idea.

People use is for aches and pains. It also is the main ingredient in Tucks, which goes to show why it would work for aches and pains.

Remember OJ's Beauty Lotion anyone? There use to be a bottle in every teen age girl's room. Pure witch hazel. Great for cleaning your face.

donnai Thanks for this thread. PaperPrincess thanks for the link. I just called my sister in Oregon about all the suggestions. She is going to get some of the things mentioned. Hope it helps her. BrendaK

I have rheumatoid arthritis and my hands take a while to "warm up" in the morning. I tried some of the witch hazel this morning and was so happy to see that it definitely helped drop my pain level. I try to treat myself with natural remedies when I can and this is a new addition to my medicine cabinet.

Thanks so much for posting and for the link!

I use it for cleaning and toning my face. I never thought to use it on my hands for my RA. I am having a lot of pain now in my hands and will give it a try. Thank you for the tip.

I read this post the other day too. I went right out and bought some witch hazel, I have arthritis in my big toe joint! Well I must say…it take away some of the throbbing that I have. I now use it every night!
