42 and got a divorce the same year. Talk about alot of adjusting.

I was 50 but some still had to come home for the summer.
That was 5 yrs. ago I do miss them, but the fun we have when they are not here.... we can do anything we want any time.

I was 47. I spent 24 years raising my 3 kids. I love my empty nest. I love when they come to visit and then love it when they leave again.

my youngest child left in 2004 for college. so i was 45 years old. WOW, didn't realize it has been that long!!! i truly enjoyed every stage of my children as they grew up, and even now. we were pretty much content with the way we raised our kids, so, we didn't have any "empty" feelings. they all live close enough to us, so we see them often.
