What to do with Irish Linen
A neighbor gave me 10 yards of 36 inch wide pure Irish Linen when she moved a number of years ago. Any suggestions of what to do with it other than napkins?

A beautiful Easter dress and Jacket. Maybe a purse to complete the outfit. I had one like this back in the 50's.

A whole cloth quilt...

Well, if you are in a "giving" mood, there was a time churches used linen for their altar clothes.......but then, too, nuns would make the lace and do the sewing.......maybe church ladies guilds do that now.....

Use your scraps to make lavender sachets.

36" wide, may limit some of your choices BUT what a gift!!

I used all linen drapes to make a full length caftan to wear around the house and even to sleep in sometimes. It was SOOOO comfortable and lasted for years. Even if you had to piece it (I did), you can flat fell the seams. Who cares if you are just wearing it about the house. Mine looked great and I had no problem meeting the door or even going outside to fetch the mail in it. I sure got the good out of that fabric!
