When reading about in hiding I noticed that I could not add to the topic by replying.
I there a reason for this? I tryed to read the rules but i must have missed this one>

It means that one of the moderators have locked the post to prevent the subject from getting out of hand I think for the most part. They try to keep this site friendly and they do a very good job. :)

The member who first posed the question intended only to gather information and understanding.

Unfortunately, other members jumped into the topic to post judgemental and potentially hurtful assumptions and criticism of those who choose to not reveal personal information here at the board.

Sometimes we delete topics that are exploited for negative purposes. Other times we lock them with a closing comment written to remind members of our philosophy and policies.

I will lock this topic, too. My intent is NOT to criticize the question. It is merely to prevent the inevitable arguments that result whenever the question is asked. :lol:
