What I am good at-

I decided that it is
okay to acknowledge - to myself, anyway - what I am fairly proficient at.

There is always "room for improvement" - but I am quite happy with how much some of my skills have improved over the years.

Why not give ourselves some pats on the back now and then?

Be proud of your accomplishments! 👏🏻

You should get a big pat on the back for your posts! They always make me think just a little bit as I contemplate my response. For today, I will raise my hands clapping to celebrate happiness with myself!...and you!

...plus all the other fabulous members!

Should we continue in that vein here? Would you mind, Bearisgray?

So what are you all good at?

bearisgray 01-27-2021 06:04 PM

My blocks usually end up to be the size I intend them to be. ( plus or minus 1/ 8 8nch)

I can frequently figure out how to replicate a geometric block.

The backs of my blocks are usually neat.

I am good at basic math.

I know how to change the size of a block..

I have learned to be more adventurous with my color choices. Thank you, Jinny Beyer.

I have gotten better at figuring out why something did not turn out "right". Sometimes it was the pattrrn or instructions that had the error.

I am pretty close to finally accepting and live with it, but I don't get near as stressed out with some minor error in my quilt. In other words, I don't feel that I have to point it out. And for me that's good.

I am good at thinking I can make every quilt pattern I see. Really I agree with sandy l. I have learned to relax and stop stressing about a little off.

I'm finally getting the hang of FMQ and I realize that little mistakes that I thought would show really don't once it's all quilted.
Also- nobody in my family quilts so they think what I make them is perfect. I won't tell them different :)

I am good at keep my sewing and quilting items and fabric neat for the small place I have. I have to do this to know I can find things. I also think I am getting better of stitching in the ditch. Maybe we will all almost be perfect before we are too old!!!
