What Kind of Pillow Do You Sleep On?
Been watching a commercial for a pillow that is supposed to be the very best on the market. Rather expensive but supposedly guaranteed to give you a great nights sleep. Has anyone tried these and are they all that they are cracked up to be? They come in different color codes depending on your size, needs, etc. I will not name the manufacturer but just wondering if anyone has tried a certain pillow that they are very happy with. My husband is not a good sleeper and thinks the right pillow might improve his sleep. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I have always slept on down pillows. I wash then twice a year and put them in the sun and then the dryer to fluff. I would never change my pillows. I use three kings size ones.

This is what I sleep on and have good results. Now if I could keep my pup dog from kicking me in the night, I'd have it made :p

I sleep on a buckwheat hull pillow.
It took some time to get used to the pillow, because it is kinda noisy. Not to mention they are HEAVY! http://beans72.com/Pillows.htm |

I have a water pillow and just love it. It is wonderful.

Feather pillow and a down pillow. Love them both. Tried the memory pillow did not like it at all. My g-son likes it.

Feathers and down for me!
There is a company here that says they have different pillows according to how you lay. i.e. back sleepers, side sleepers, front. You can go into their store and try them out before you buy. I can see the logic ... as I do have a small memory foam neck pillow that I use when I am sleeping on my back, with the feathers waiting til I change position. |
Be sure to check Amazon for reviews of that tv pillow; lots of reviews for those kinds of pillows are not very good.
We have tried quite a few different types of pillows over the years. Down was our most expensive choice and also the pillow that has lasted the longest and been the most comfortable. Finally replaced my dh's after at least 20 years' of use with one from Bed, Bath & Beyond -- one of the few places we could find locally that carried good quality down bed pillows. |
I see some sleep on down pillows, I grew up with down and until the last 10 years I slept on down. I changed to poly fills because of my husband's heart and immune system, then two years ago we replace our pillow top mattress with a Temperpedic, very expensive but worth any penny. We have a king bed but the mattress deal included 2 of their standard size pillows. It took a bit to get use to them because they are quite firm but they do mold to your head. I now love them, don't have as much neck distress as before.
