My daughter brought her (former) boyfriend to meet us one Christmas - he is English - and we were doing dinner with all the trimmings. You know, sometimes you gotta show off, right? Well, we sure showed off - the oven died halfway through cooking the bird.

We sure impressed him! Took some hamberger and seasoned it like meatloaf and cooked it on the stove. He pretended to like it.
