What organizing and previewing software for embroidery files?
I recently bought a used Babylock Ellagante 3. I have opportunity to pick up CD's with large amount of embroidery files but it was recommended I get software to help organize and retrieve otherwise it can be a nightmare. Know nothing about what is most economical or best. Any opinions out there? Ehh...I'm sure plenty of those, haha! Any sound advice? Lol.

I don't have any advice but I am also interested in software to help organize embroidery files. I have a BabyLock Spirit.
Thank you for posting the question. |
I've had Buzz Tools since the beginning and I really like it.

I like Ann The Gran. all the designs are pictured and can be kept in individual files

I have the files/designs I've accumulated organized on my computer as separate files - one folder for each design.
I have the colour change sheet and the actual embroidery file that goes to my machine in that folder. So far, that has worked for me. When I get a lot of any one type of design, eg, bookmarks, I make a new folder for that title and put the other folders in as subfolders. For specific techniques, I add a qualifier to the name of the folder (i.e. FSL = free standing lace, ITH= in the hoop) I may find as I get more designs, that I need a format that allows for a small picture of each design to be seen prior to opening the colour change sheet. |
I use a database that my father in law created for me.
Was trying to get him to do some updates for me, but he hasn't done it yet. |
