My business has grown to the point where I really need to hire someone to do a little sewing for me. I was thinking of approaching the lady who runs the outreach center at our church to see if there was someone who wanted a little extra work. The work is very simple. I make veils, so it's just sewing the trim to the lace body with a scallop or other stitch depending on the lace and then finishing the mitred corners if there are any. I will have everything pre-cut. What do you think I should pay? I am clueless.
Thanks in advance.

HOw long does it take you to do each unit? How many units per hour? What will they work for per hour?

I would suggest $10 hour minimum, if they can do 4 veils per hour, then it would be $2.50 per veil.

That's what I was thinking of. How long does it take? Well, let me just say that I'd be making a lot more of them a lot faster if my computer wasn't right next to my machines!

LOL! Maybe instead of paying someone to sew for you, you need to get someone to put parental controls on your internet. Set it up so it can only be accessed after work hours!

I think I need that, too.

No joke! Just stopped in the middle of a seam!
