Purses?

you can really do anything with it. you may want to iron on a stabalizer but, you can quilt with it to. (krystyna, here on the board uses it to make miniature quilts. there artistic and beautiful.) so maybe a wall hanging or table topper. It would be beautiful. :D

Pillows, table cloths and napkins, table runners, purses, etc.

Depends on how big the pieces are. Make a jacket or shrug, or parts of jacket/shrug. Depending on the pattern, put a co-ordinating border with them and make a wall-hanging.

Don't be in a rush. Just get to know the fabric...pet it...admire it...and eventually you'll see what to do with it.

Maybe a special mantle scarf for the holidays, or something like that...where it's not going to get spills or everyday abuse on it.

Sweet son.. bringing his mom gifts from afar!

Perhaps a table topper or table runner. I would want to display it if the fabric was a gift from my son.

Ask your son ... he might have had some ideas as to the end use when he purchased it.

If it's like some of the Indian fabrics that I'm visualizing, I'd consider making it a full cloth quilt, just so I could enjoy the fabric to the max. Or full cloth table runner/topper.

You might want to look at some of the oriental patterns for quilts and wall hangings. They would lend themselves well to Indian brocade.

yep I agree!

I would put it where I would see it everyday, eventually I will get an Aha! and know what to do with it. No rushing, just enjoy it for now.
