What is it?

I'm cleaning out my sewing area and came across something that has left me clueless. Do any of you know what this is? The bottom end of the long arm is square. There is a slot between the plastic-metal bar on the back and the front.

Thanks!

I have one for my machine.

It belongs to a bernina. I have one. No idea what to do with it. While we are discussing berninas.

the table which comes with the machine. In my group of quilters 5 of use have had this table snap in. The area that goes under the needle as it slides in place.
they usually look like a crack, mine is taped up at present. Is this a manufacturing design fault or are we just unfortunate.

Thanks! I have one of those in a drawer, never used it because I didn't know what it was for! Probably still won't use it because my Bernina is in a drop in table... but at least I know now

Thanks! That helps a lot :-). I probably won't ever use it very much, because I don't do many wide seams. Still it's good to know that it goes with my Bernina and not my Janome (which I'm going to try to sell).

May I ask which model you all have? I have a little Bernina Active. I do have difficulty putting the table on & taking it off that machine (it's a rather tight fit), but I haven't seen any cracks. Perhaps that's because I tend to leave it on the Activa for extended periods of time.

Bernina artista 630 and I do not have any problems with the table.

ManiacQuilter2 06-21-2015 07:29 AM

That is interesting. That wasn't an option when I bought my Bernina 1530.
