"Those of you who give up something for Lent, how successful are you? Do you take this more seriously than New Year's Resolutions? Is it easier, maybe because you know it won't last forever? Just wondering."

I don't do New Year's resolutions, but I do do Lent. One year I gave up chocolate and nearly died. This year I will stick to doing the treadmill at least 3 times a week, and finding time during the day for more serious prayer or reading the Bible.

I take it way more serious and yes, I am successful because I make up my mind to be. For me, it is giving back to God a small speck of what he gave me. It isn't a have too, but something that I want to do. I feel that it makes me stronger spiritually. I also see it as a time for more intense prayer and deeper reflection. This is just what I do. I'm not trying to convert anyone.

Here, here!!

I just had my "88 Camaro painted a pretty purple. The only one around here for sure! She doesn't fly much anymore, but I still love her. I am a car person too. My brother raced until he was in his 50's, and has a business building racing engines. It seems to be in our blood. Have you seen the 2010 Cam's? They are pretty cool looking, also glad the Dodge Chargers are back.

What a beauty. I do like the Chargers, the body style is close to the original. Not to fond of the new Camero. I prefer the 1968- '69 body style.
