We all have other things we do other than quilting. For many years I bred and showed dogs, Bouviers. Now I help other people getting started breeding by offering any help needed delivering puppies. Today, I'm waiting for a call, a Yorkie is due any minute, but no signs of labor yet. While I wait, doing some house work, reading our board and I know the minute I go into the sewing room, the phone will ring.

prairiequeen 09-12-2010 09:46 AM

Football and sewing and washing.

Navy Wife 09-12-2010 09:51 AM

After church, I painted the trim in my guest/sewing room. Now I have to wash the blind. It is awful! Then get cleaned back up to go to DS's for dinner. No sewing today unless it's after we get home.

Wreaked a knee moving up and down stairs and am now sitting alot with ice and pain killer. Dr says a minimum of 10 days off my feet if possible. 3 to go!!! I've worked on my Grandmothers Flower Garden, read 2 books, did some laundry with hubby helping and surfed the net!! Tuesday we leave with another load to our new home that my son and daughter in law helped load last night when they came for supper.

Church
home with DGD who's just learned to crawl
then after she leaves at 3, NAP,
get our homeschool lessons ready for next week
maybe get some sewing done...?

EdieClay 09-12-2010 01:12 PM

Since I got home from church, I've had a nap, cooked lunch, read a book, watched parts of two football games (sad that Peyton Manning and Colts lost), answered my e-mail, updated my Facebook page, talked to my DS, commented on several Board pages, and cut some more HST for a Lady of the Lake quilt for my grandson. Now I'm heading out to Bible Study at my church. Another quiet Sunday!

Barbm 09-12-2010 01:15 PM

7:30 am- breakfast with Dad and the sisters and niece. Church at 9:30, came home to the endless laundry, organized the 3 tubs of Christmas fabric to make it easier for dds to pick some, off to county fair with bff, back home, help ds with his laundry, barb-b-q spare ribs and ziti are in oven, chillaxin' here for 15 min., then set table for dinner. GS comes at 6, then hanging with him (he's 2 and a ton of fun).

Looked at a project I need done in 2 weeks, went into closet for my light box and got side tracked with the organizing. Guess I'll venture back into the closet now, knowing I shouldn't get side tracked this time.

I already got groceries, packed up things I sold on ebay, and nursed sick kids. They started school wednesday and they are sick already... then I finished another Quilts for Kids quilt and now I am sewing together a small bag for a coworker. Later, I will give the kids their baths, get them off to bed and get myself ready for work tomorrow.
Aahhh, the joys of running a household...

SuziC 09-12-2010 02:52 PM

Today is football day for us. Then nap time, then grab what you can for dinner, then plan the upcoming week!

kat112000 09-12-2010 02:57 PM

Grocery shopping, laundry, made chili and a chocolate pie for after supper, cleaned out the shed and put summer things away, nap, now waiting for supper to finish cooking, I really should be doing some laundry instead of surfing the net!! After supper will be dishes and laundry and maybe some quilting.

bjnicholson 09-12-2010 03:00 PM

Ahem...I finished by first bow tucks bag!!!!! My son is cutting the bottom piece for it as we speak. Then it's done. Can you see my cartwheels???

I had breakfast, knitted for a bit and then wandered out to the garden for a bit, still have some cherry tomatoes.
Had lunch and then the Dodgers and Astros baseball game was on...too bad the Dodgers got beat 7-4.
Napped and woke up to a very warm and dark house. The transformer down the road blew up in and the power was out for 1 1/2 hours. I found my headlight and used the treadle machine to sew some string quilt blocks until the power came back on.

Thought I'd update, Mama dog went into labor around 5PM Sunday. She had 3 pups, 2 girls and a boy. Everyone is doing well. I took a picture of them with my Blackberry and can't get it uploaded onto my computer. Anyway, got home at 2AM, fixed hubby's lunch, got into bed about 2:30 and up at 6AM for work. Worked all day, then came home and flea bathed 4 large dogs. Thank goodness, I have today and Weds. off

I sewed most of last Sat.,Sun.,Mon., and today. Other than laundry, housework, taking care of 3 little dogs, 4 cats and a cockatiel, then I sew. Little dogs think I still work and want to go to bed, cats have to come out because they share my sewing room. Dogs get up around 2:30, so I get in some free time to do all of above. I retired June 2nd. I enjoy getting some quilts made, during the day.

I had hoped it would rain today so I could justify playing with my sewing mach. Since the rain hasn't started yet, I have to go outside & move some topsoil. Oh well, it needs to be done.................. LOL
