Love Dean Koontz too.

"The Land of the Colourblind Men" by Oliver Sacks and "The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat" by the same author. Very interesting to read his stuff as he explains complex medical phenomena in ordinary language that anyone can understand and find interesting at the same time.

I did not know "Devil in the White City " is coming in a movie. That was a great book, I like fiction containing true facts. I just read Jan Karon's "In the Company of Others", loved it. I enjoyed Grisham's "The Confession".

I just read, "The Gift" and "The Walk" by Richard Paul Evans and "Fly Away Home" by Jennifer Weiner. I generally read mysteries but decided to try something else and really enjoyed these books.

I also love Earlene Fowler. I have read all the ones with quilt name titles. I love to read  |
"Look me in the Eye". It is written by a man who has Asbergers Autism. I have a grandson with this and the book really helps to explain what is going on in his mind. The man who wrote it didn't have a diagnosis until he was a grown man and grew up thinking he was seriously flawed.

Love Nevada Barr! I am listening to the one where she is stationed at Ft. Jefferson which is located 70 miles off of Key West. My husband and I visited there a couple of years ago. What a fascinating place

Just finished White Fang by Jack London. Great book. Could not believe I had not read that before. Now I am reading a book about Abraham Lincoln that was written by a relative of one of Lincoln's cabinet members.
Old books? Yes both of them. I got a Kindle for Christmas. I love it. It is easier for me to read it rather than book print - eyes not so good any more. I usually purchase my books in thrift stores. Now I have to buy them on line for a lot more. So I went to Amazon's free page for Kindle. Books over 100 years old can be given free, as no royalty fees on books that old. I have purchase a couple but am really loving these books that I get for free. |
I just finished one called "Creepers"by David Morrell. This is a name given to "urban explorers", people who sneak into abandoned buildings and tunnels etc. and explore them. The book was really well written and kept me interested all through the book!! I really enjoyed it!
