I really enjoyed this one! I believe Jennifer Chieverini (sp?) has a new book due out in Feb. I can't wait. I love her books. My husband found 5 or 6 of her books at a used bookstore at the beach last summer and he bought all of them for me. I was so surprised!

LOVE the Mitford series! One of my all time favorites.

Been reading a lot by Karen Kingsbury - just pick up what I haven't read when I go to the library.

I get all my books from the library. They also have a lot of audio books - we get them when we travel and my husband gets them for his work commute.

Just read one about a detective with a dog named Chet - the series is told from the dog's perspective. Spencer Quinn is the author - the first in the series is "Dog on It", but I don't remember what the latest one was called.

Forgot what you read - my mother and her friend get books at the half-price book store - there's a section of paperbacks really cheap. They now have THE LIST - where they write down what they've read. I'm not to that point yet, but sure am disappointed when I get in to a book a few pages and realize I've read it. :(

I've read most of Nevada Barr's books ... her main character is Anna Pigeon, a park ranger who gets transferred all over the US.

Right now I'm reading "Borderline" by her. I just finished the one set in New Orleans that dealt with child trafficking...did NOT like it. Made me too sad. But it had references to the one I'm reading now, so had to go back and read this one. I also love her books. I think this is the only one I haven't read. It's set in Big Bend, so finally a park I have some first hand experience with! Her books make me want to take about a year and just visit all the National Parks in the US.

"The Adventure of English: The biography of a language" by Melvyn Bragg. Non-fiction is a departure for me but I've always been interested in the evolution of the English language, more so since marrying an Englishman.

Seriously ... this book is SO fascinating and I recommend listening to it (as I am) as oppsed to reading it. The narration is perfect as you hear the difference between "path" and "path".

Currently I'm reading Janet Evanovich's Sizzling Sixteen...love her Plum series. Next up...Lisa Lutz's The Spellman Files series. I buy most of my books at The Friends of the Library book store. When finished I donate them to the V.A. hospital.
