What are you working on or what do you want to work on?
 

I have so many things I want to do. This morning I finished up the last customer quilt for this year. So I have the rest of this month to do things for me before I began the new year. Last Saturday I finished cross stitching another Christmas stocking, but I need to now make it into a stocking. Last night I laid out the materials for a counted cross stitch tree skirt and started gathering the thread to begin another Christmas stocking (this one for great grandson). I also want to get to the applique on my Mini pinwheels quilt (have the vines and yo yo flowers made, but need to make the leaves before I start stitching everything into place) Received my order of some 10 inch squares to begin another Walk in the City quilt. Finally got the binding on my Hourglass and Ninepatch quilt that I started some years ago. A Few weeks ago I had sewn black binding on, because I did not think I had any navy fabric to make binding; but found some navy when looking for something else, so removed the black and replaced it with navy. Looks so much better. I still have at least 6 of my own quilts that I need to get quilted. There they hang, with the backing, batting and binding all ready to go, just need that block of time to get started on them. So much to do and so much to be thankful for. Lifes great!!!

This week I am working on 5 blanket wraps. They are Christmas gifts for my husband, two sons and two of the grand kids.
The wraps help with the heating bill...lol...Our son's share a house that is about 2400sq ft. And their landlord said the heating bill might run about 500 bucks a month! So instead of jacking up the thermostat they can wrap up.

Sometime next week I expect to be "down" for a few days. I am having 6 teeth pulled and my top denture put in place.
The Dentist's assistant said I would have to take it easy for a few days as not to risk getting "dry socket".

I will be working on flannel shirts for myself. I bought a nice pattern and some fabric on sale at Joann's.

I am almost done *piecing* my blue horse wall hanging collage and then I will get it sandwiched and ready to start the quilting.
I have all the fabric for a throw but still can't find a pattern I love and of course, I've got my queen size batik quilt that I am FMQ'ing to fall back on, should I run out of things to do. I feel like I will ALWAYS have that quilt to fall back on because it will never be done.

How fun that you have a few weeks to yourself! I still have to quilt a couple tops and a table runner for Christmas. Then I have a black and white NY Beauty project I hope to start after Christmas.

chasing hawk - good luck on your dental work and do what they say. A dry socket is probably the worst pain I ever experienced.

I have lots of things I'd like to be working on, but I also have a new puppy, and he is taking up all my time.

not by choice, but i misplaced my husband, mine and my cats Christmas stocking and the snowman tree skirt that took about 20 hrs to make. it was all appliqued snowmen and snow woman with fancy hats, scarves and stars. with snowflakes that were all hand quilted and had sequins on the snowflakes. What a time to start them!

I agreed to help a friend with some church sewing. That fabric was just dropped off today so I have 'as many as you can make' head coverings w/ties for the church Christmas mass. Also working on hand quilting a lap quilt that keeps getting put on the back burner for other things.

Anything else will have to take a back seat for the next couple of weeks while I get the cleaning; baking; shopping; cooking done for our annual Christmas party in 2 weeks! Yikes!
