For one DD I am making a coffee themed gift basket of aprons, embroidered hand towels, placemats etc. And for the other DD I'm monogramming towels.

What I'm trying to make

I am trying my hand at fabric portraits, like maria elkins makes for one. Here's a picture of my first thread painting of GS and girlfriend. This was lots of fun to do and fairly easy.

Wonderful work and ideas. I am making two lap quilts, some placemats and maybe try my hand at mug rugs. Also have knitted a pair of fingerless gloves, 2 pairs of socks and a scarf. And I wonder why my hands hurt....

Hi Sharon, I've been thinking about you, haven't seen you here. I'm making towels for the grandkids with their names on them and money. I'm out of ideas for them.
