Staying home

Oh, on New Years Day, I am going to participate in Planet Patchworks Merry Mayhem’s Mystery Quilt Case # 133. The mystery starts at 11:00 a.m. eastern standard time on Saturday, January 1, 2011 and the last installment will be posted at 3:00 p.m. They post clues hourly and have hourly door prizes if you register. It is free and you are supposed to complete an easy 35" table topper by the end. I wanted to participate last year, but found out about it too late. I just pulled the fabrics from my stash and will cut them out Friday. We will be at our son's on New Years Day, but the guys will be doing guy stuff, so I am going to sew to my hearts content.

Staying home! And we will be asleep before midnight. We've been married 30 years and I don't think that we have ever been anywhere on New Years Eve. I always say that there are too many drunks on the road. :)

Never go anywhere on New Years Eve. I want to be with family and be safe.

Always stay at home.Safer that way. When we were stationed in Germany for 9 years, we stayed home too and I got to babysit many children. I had them lined up in our living room with sleeping bags, popcorn, and movies. I always had the parents pick up the children[sometimes 10 kids-with the help of hubby and our daughter] the next morning at a certain time, at no extra charge. Hated to have them go out in the cold and with some parents that had been drinking. We always had a ball. Some times we all even got to see out our windows in Military housing and watch many fire works down in the little German town. They really celebrate New Years.I still get to keep in touch with about 8 of the families. The kids are now in their late 20's and early 30's.Those were the good ole days and I really miss them. Now my hubby and I just sit and watch movies and sometime get to have out GS from NC here. He is only 60 miles from us. He is now 12 yrs old. They grow so fast. HAPPY NEW YEARS EVERYONE!!! BE SAFE!!!

We always stay home New Years eve. Too many fools out. We do our little celebration at home.

My husband and I are volunteer ushers at a local theater. So we said we would volunteer on New Years Eve. For ushering for 15 minutes we get to see the play. My husband would never pay the $22.00 to go see any play. Otherwise we never go out with all the drunk partyiers driving around.
