Taught school for 32 years, first elementary school. Then I taught art to seniors on the HS level. Finally taught homebound students in their homes (kids recovering from serious illnesses). I also specialized in helping prepare HS student's portfolios for admission to art schools.
Now retired, and LOVING every moment. |
I am retired, for 28 years I worked in the banking industry retiring (actually burn-out) as a Loan Officer. Then I got bored and worked 8 years for our local school district, retiring as a Accounts Payable clerk. :lol:

Mom of 2 grown children, 5 grands, wife; have been Bar & Restaurant server, A&W clerk/cook, farmhand for 10 years, housekeeper at a hotel, then full time Front Desk Clerk for the last 20 years and pt clerk at a quilt store for the last 3 years

I am a personal injury paralegal for a small law office in Elizabethtown, KY

School teacher ( first grade and then 3rd, 4th and 5th) - Waitress( which I loved), art teacher ( colored pencil), demonstrator for Craft store (Roberts Crafts in UT). Now I am home having fun quilting whenever I have the chance.

This has been fascinating. You sure can't put us in one group, save for our love of quilting, who knew! Never underestimate the American woman! Think what all those countries that hold their womenfolk back could have achieved! I've been totally blown away with all the many varied jobs, good thread!

18 years in HR and then switched to accounting. I work for a government contractor running a $3 mill + travel program and project cost admin.
Probably going to be out of work next year and looking for a part time job to keep me busy (and fund my quilting addiction). |
