Whatever's on the TV at the time. I agree with alleyoop1, that stuffs not played enough. Love the cartoons too. Remember Nestor? He was a donkey and his mom had died. He always remembered her saying, "ears Nestor" so he wouldn't step on them because they were sooo long.

A Christmas Story and Dr.Suess "How The Grinch Stole Christmas", animated version are my two favorites
'A Christmas Carol' with Alistar Sim as well. It's not Christmas until I've seen that movie - usually watch it while decorating the tree as DH found it on DVD a number of years ago.
The bells of St. Mary's and so many others
I agree. TOO Many to chose a favorite.
There is no contest for me. "It's a Wonderful Life" is the only Christmas movie I care to watch. I cry every time.
I don't really have a favorite, just watched what was available. I do try to watch Miracle on 34th Street. Maybe that's it.
Being from the Cleveland area I love the Christmas Story. The movie was filmed here although it was supposed to take place in Indiana. I love seeing the old Higbee department store (now a casino) and the views of Public Square in the 50's.
The house where the filming took place is open and of course a gift shop. |
It's a Wonderful Life, every year. If I miss it I'm bummed.
I have several, depending on my mood: Holiday Inn with Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire, Christmas Carol with Alistar Sim, The Holiday with Cameron Diaz and Jack Black, and the original version of The Grinch Who Stole Christmas (the animated one), and Miracle on 34th Street with Natalie Wood.
