Where are all the Football Fan Quilters? It's quiet out there!

I know that some of us love football and are going to watch today. Who are you pulling for?

I am pulling for Seahawks.... DH is pulling for Patriots...

(just because we can't pull for the Packers :))

quiltingcandy 02-01-2015 01:00 PM

It's hard for me to pull for one or the other - but my husband was born and raised in Seattle, I grew up in WA but that was before the Seahawks - my parents didn't route for them either - but I decided to pull for them this year and when we were in Vegas last week I put $20.00 on them to win. Figured it would make the game a bit more interesting.

Went to the grocery store for a few items. Forgot about the football game. I wanted to leave and forget about the crowd but few things were needed as DH insisted:( We will not be watching the game. Just not into all the hoopla. Would rather watch a good movie.

Loved halftime with Katy Perry. That is all I watch.

I do not follow football too closely, but am hoping for the Patriots because I was born 13 miles from where they play.

Mariposa 02-01-2015 06:01 PM

Go Seahawks! :)

craftyone27 02-01-2015 06:05 PM

Rooting for a Seahawk victory here!!!

hamchips88 02-01-2015 06:06 PM

i watched the the puppy bowl ...

QuiltingVagabond 02-01-2015 06:32 PM

Watching the game and surfing QB - go Seahawks!

Boston1954 02-01-2015 07:22 PM

Wow! I did not think they would be able to pull it off. I wish my Bruins could do as well in their hockey games.

QuiltingVagabond 02-01-2015 07:40 PM

Not so much of a win for NE as it was a loss for Seattle.

Tartan 02-01-2015 08:38 PM

I am not a big sports fan but that game certainly had some weird moments.

quiltjoey 02-01-2015 09:30 PM

I love the puppy bowl and now the kitten bowl! Totally hate sports. Biggest waste of time and money, imho…I would rather be sewing...

I watched the kitten bowl. I think they have cuter players:)

What a day. Played touch football pre-game then a party during the game. Good food with family. Sometimes it's good to move around, get some exercise , and watch a good game. My team won! Go Pats! Boston Strong!
now back to sitting on my duff quilting. Lol

Onebyone 02-02-2015 05:52 AM

I don't have a sport bone in my body. DH asked me which team I was for I said the Patriots because I like the name. LOL. I watched the opening ceremony but that was all.

Especially the ending. I am a die hard Seahawk fan...I worked with one of the people who helped name the team!! They had a contest and about 3 (maybe 5) people suggested 'Seahawks.' They won box seats for some years...how cool is that?

Maggiemay 02-02-2015 06:18 AM

I love football & am so sad when the season is over. It is the main reason I have a tv in my sewing room! After watching the Kitten Bowl we settled in it cheer for the Patriots! I lived in CT twice & my son who was born there, is a rabid fan.

Billi 02-02-2015 06:30 AM

Here I am here I am :-) we got together with family for the game......for me I was rooting for the lesser of 2evils Seattle, I'm not a fan of either team I wanted a fun game and other than the first quarter thats what I got i liked the half time show and that ending was most wow! are you kidding me? Who thought that was a good idea?

Caswews 02-02-2015 07:02 AM

Just did other things, reading, playing solitaire etc.. LOL

sparkys_mom 02-02-2015 07:04 AM

I wanted to watch the halftime show but lost track of time and missed it. That's the only thing that interests me and sometimes, not that. :D

Sewnoma 02-02-2015 07:41 AM

I'm not into sports but we do watch the Superbowl almost every year just because it's a good excuse to hang out with our friends and drink beer and eat potato chips. And of all sports, I like football best - it's the only one I can stand to watch at all, really.

I don't follow either of these teams (wasn't even sure who was IN the Superbowl until the day before), but since my VP is a Seahawks fan I had to root AGAINST them, just so I can give him a hard time later today!

It was a pretty good game! I like the close games, it's no fun when there's a 40-point spread. Some pretty good plays, and one really dumb decision, LOL.

Barbshobbies 02-02-2015 09:00 AM

We are Packer Fans, and we lost to the Sea Hawk`s and lost our chance to play in the Super bowl! I wanted the Seattle to win so at least we could says we lost to the Super Bowl winners. Personally I like the game, it was very well played. We just felt the coaches lost the game for them on the last play. We knew only one team could win!

neece 02-02-2015 03:16 PM

I got a long arm and reading instructions Sat, Sun and today. Pretty daunting  I know it will get better but right now
I am totally overwhelmed:shock:

ManiacQuilter2 02-03-2015 06:15 AM

I haven't been watching football but my neighbor did with others from the complex. All the players I use to love to watch have retired.

Edie 02-03-2015 07:02 AM

I am still a die-hard avid Viking fan! I did the binding on a quilt for my cousin. I also put on the label - UPSIDE DOWN!
Gotta straighten that out!!!!!!!! I just watched the game because it was football and I love football, but who played didn't matter! I am still trying to survive from the past five years!!!!!!!! Edie

Iraxy 02-03-2015 12:31 PM

Love me some Seahawk action. Watched the game. Our family is not the screaming, eating, drinking group most people associate with football. It's like watching crazy on Xanax at our house. Love the game though.
