I just bought a Janome 350E and along with doing my quilts, I'd love to embroider towels, napkins, baby stuff etc.... I'm looking for a place to purchase "blanks", possibly in bulk that reduces my cost per item. Does anyone know of a website or store that sells this kind of stuff? Suggestions welcome!!

What do you mean "blanks"? Blank memory cards?

LoriJ 10-29-2009 12:28 PM

Blanks as in plain tshirts, bibs, burpclothes, napkins, etc that I can then put my own embroidery on. Does that make any sense? I don't know if I'm using the correct terminology or not.

Ann the Gran has some blanks available, when I first started I went to WalMart, Joann's and Michaels, they have some as well. At least it will get your feet wet. :D :D

Nancy's Notions carries some. There is another place that carries all of that stuff but I can't remember the name. Try googling embroidery supplies and see what you come up with. I get a newsletter from this one place that I can't remember the name of but I have never ordererd from them.

The place I am thinking of is called Embroiderthis.com [[email protected]]

They have all kinds of stuff to embroider on, towels, pillow cases, etc etc.

When I was looking for larger quantities of tshirts I googled and found all kinds of blanks that could be purchased in bulk :D

I found 5 flour sacks at Fred's (something between Wal-Mart & Dollar General) for $4.99. I've washed & dried them, but it will be after New Years before I use them. These are plain white. They are 100% cotton & make good kitchen towels. Mine are almost 30 inch squares. I'll starch them twice, cut once before I cut them. They are made in Pakistan. They only had one pack, but I'll check back soon.

Look at Herrschner's.com.
Also, if you have an A.C. Moore near you, they have a plethora of t-shirts.

I would suggest Dharma Trading, they have blanks for dyeing so it's all white or black but the price is reasonable
