Yea! DH is out of town for a family wedding and I just happen to have the next 4 days off. DD #1 moved into her own place this weekend and DD #2 is away at college. It's just me and the dog for the next 4 days. :-D :-D :-D Wait, what am I doing here?? I need to go sew!!

I love the "by myself" days. Enjoy .... just do what you want!

SEW HECK!!!! I'd be taking a LONG LONG nap, lounge around naked, take a bubble bath, order out chinese then I would go shopping and then maybe sew. LOL But I would make sure I was clothed when they delivered Chinese. LOL

I always feel this way when my daughter and husband are both away for several days. After day 1 day I want them back, need more noise in this big old house.

I love it when DH is gone .. and love the week he goes hunting !! its more of a camping trip than anything else in the winter for him, he just takes pictures anymore ! LOL but me and the dog can do whatever we want this year (as this is the first year of the avatar and me!)and we are gonna have fun, I may even go visit the grands who knows (they want to make quilts !LOL)

You lucky thing Even when I have a day off I still have to much else to do and or finish before i'll ever get to start a new project- I really truly hate moving -Welp break time is over for me I have windows to wash inside and out :thumbdown: house cleaning sucks :-(

My DH and teenage sons are going to a Scout Camp again for this weekend. I intend to dye fabric all weekend. I only plan to stop for the 9/11 memorial service on Sunday night.

Enjoy this much needed alone time! My hubby stays with his Mom on Wednesday nights and 2 Sunday nights a month, who has Alzehimers. I hate it for her and for him being away from home but-----I love it for me because I can go to bed when I want. I can sew as long as I want. But, if I lounged around naked and happened to pass by a mirror, I am afraid I would never, ever, recover!!!LOL

The only difference I notice if DH is away is that I miss him being around. I don't do anything differently when he is here or away. My friends say DH is away I have the week to do what I want. I know I would be miserable not feeling like that everyday in my own home.

Those are my most favorite days. I get dressed around 3p...or maybe not at all. Eat buttery salty popcorn and a cold beer in bed for dinner. Good times!
