Well, it is lunch time here right now, and after I read these, Ii'm not a bit hungry. ha. I once read if a cow has an infection in it's udders, they go right on millking. ugh. I don't know if that is true or not, but I don't drink milk.

Once found a praying mantis in a can of whole green beans. ick is right. I do try to watch carefully. But then again, found a bug in broccoli from my own garden, after I washed it, looked carefully and cooked it. Nobody is perfect, I guess.

Many years ago, received a deep fried honey bee in my deep fried fries from a fast food place. Took it back and ask if I was supppsed to pay extra for it, didn't want to rip them off. They took it, walked away and that was that, no offer of replacement or money back and was totally ignored. That was when I was young and din't want to stomp my feet and draw attention, would be different now. Old and bigger shoes and ain't afraid to stomp em.

Once I purchased a baked Rasberry pie. I had taken a bite and thought I had bit down on a stem..... Took the "stem" from my mouth only to discover it was a Huge roach!!! I gag everytime I recall this memory. To this day I will not eat pie that comes from a store.

Once when my youngest was less than a year old, I was spooning out yogurt into a cup for her. Found a piece of paper towel roughly 2" square. I dried it out, sent it back to company with a letter and received a bunch of free coupons along with apology. They said they wipe out the machines with paper towels at the end of each day, and would reevaluate their process. So glad I didn't just hand her the little container to eat from - she could have choked.

Can't think of anything packaged, but once I was eating shrimp salad at a restaurant open house. and found a piece of green scrubby pad.

The upside is, most brand name foods have a toll-free number on the package, and the companies are VERY generous with replacement coupons.

Those cows have to be treated for mastitis and the milked gets dumped. all the machines have to be cleaned everytime they are milked also & sterilized. When my milk cow got it we treated her and did not use the milk machine. I used to milk by hand and then with machine for 5 cows and sold the cream the cats and pigs got the milk that we didn't drink.

I found the front half of a roach in a can of mushrooms, a closed safety pin in pancake mix and my son got pieces of glass in a restaurant salad- nasty.

Package of frozen broccoli had metal pieces of machinery in it. The store gave me a refund (bless them) and the company (it was a store brand) send me coupons for future purchases.
