I'm sorry mods and admin. But a joke that is a video (link) to my way of thinking doesn't belong in the LINKS AND RESOURCES section. To my way of thinking, Links and Resources are l&Rs for QUILT related stuff!!!!!!!! You moved my FUNNY, that had a YOUTUBE link....when i went to look, I discovered there's a lot of stuff there!!!! Maybe we need your clarification and reasoning!!!! :?

I just don't understand all the rules. Some of my topics had been eliminated and I just don't understand why. I am glad I am not the only one who is in the dark.

You can PM a moderator and ask your question.

Just guessing here, but it may have been done as a blanket sort of search and move that did all of them without checking to see what category they fit into.

i've noticed jokes in there too. and no I wouldnt' think that is where they belong either, but then it's not a horrible faux pas is it?

A link is just that a link - a click that takes you away from the board/page you currently are on . It doesn't matter what the content is whether it is pictures, jokes , etc. If the post contains no more information then a link - it goes under the link section

amandasgramma 02-05-2011 07:34 PM

Well, they moved my joke/video link back to the Chit-chat section....so it apparently was a mistake. :)

And Sharon B....I don't think that's the answer. If it were, then links in other sections would have been moved. I believe, and have believed since I first came on, that the Links and Resources section are for quilting related links.

There were 8,431 posts in the past 24 hours.

There are only a handful of moderators.

Not everybody is going to agree with every decision.

Questions or complaints about things like this should be first addressed in a pm to the moderator who sent you the notice of action. If you still feel a burning need to press it further, then send a pm to me.

It is not helpful when members attempt to incite revolution because they are displeased with a decision made about one of their posts.
