I already have a walk in shower, don't need another. I have 2 bathtubs but due to a back injury that made my knees unstable I am not able to sit and soak in the tub.
I need the Walk in Bathtub with Jacuzzi jets so I can sit and soak with the jets 2 - 3 times a week. This would be a big help for me overall health wise.
Some have said draining takes too long, it takes 2 - 3 mins tops to drain the tubs. There is a space behind your head to have a towel so when you are done, simply stand while tub is draining and start drying off.
If you have a space heater in the room with the tub, how are you going to get chilled?

sounds like you have all the positive reasons to get one.

Everyone is different in what their individual needs are. The tub would help me overall, and allow me to enjoy a bath instead of always having to do showers.
I can also put a clock radio in the bathroom on the counter so music etc is avail - no need to be bored waiting.

if you can afford it and you think it would benefit you i say go for it. just be sure to check out the company and get a few estimates if you can.

2-3 minutes to drain the tub does not seem long to me. I would get one if I needed one.

I am getting several estimates before deciding. I have found that many drop off the tub, and you hire a few contractors to get the job done. Those are ones I am no longer considering. I want a company that does it all (makes tub, does the install, covers warranty etc,)

I think that sounds like a great idea. Probably on my list of things to consider in the future.

You wouldn't be able to start drying off until the water was mostly out... how would you keep your towel dry?
I know of several who have used these tubs, as long as the room was nicely warmed, they didn't have an issue waiting to start drying off :D:D:D

I like to sit in the bathtub until the water is gone or mostly gone anyways. Always have since I was a kid. You'd be surprised with just a small amount of water in the tub it'll still keep ya warm :) I say buy the tub if you can afford it. Make your life easier and more comfortable. You only have one life so why not enjoy it and make the best of it? :) if you do your research on them you should be fine

I plan on standing up to start drying off, once the water got down below the seat you are sitting on you can start drying
